Happy Easter!
We had a fun filled Easter Sunday. We started extra early with a visit from the Easter Bunny who hid eggs filled with goodies for both Jake & Sarah. Then it was off to a standing room only Sunday service at Church. The place was packed, there had to be literally 6000 people there. The service was one of the best church services we have ever attended, powerful beyond words. After church we went to Sunday brunch. Sarah enjoyed among other things...strawberries, pasta, assorted cheeses and her new favorite mandarin oranges...she cannot shovel them in fast enough. The Easter Bunny also visited us at brunch too, Sarah was ecstatic. The whole family (except Daddy) is zonked out right now, taking the customary after brunch nap.
In preparation for today, last night Mommy and Daddy read the Easter story from the Bible, and we put out lettuce and carrots for the Easter Bunny.
Some Sarah updates...she has learned "up and down", putting both of her hands as high as she can over her head, then bringing them down in unison. She has also learned where her ears are, just her ears so far...but we are working on the rest. She plays peek-a-boo with her hands and blows kisses. She is mimicking a lot too, she takes her hair brush after bath time and brushes her own hair. Daddy was gargling the other morning and Sarah started imitating the noises including the spitting at the end! She is most happy walking, she still needs a little help with her balance, but she is starting to throw her weight forward and lean into the walk (kinda like rolling down a hill) which we are told is a sign that walking on her own is right around the corner.
What a day!
