So Grandpa Lowe is a "little bit" of a genealogy buff. I have "fond" childhood memories of running around cemeteries looking for Lowe headstones or spending countless hours in Town Halls and libraries going through vital records (the actual hand written books from the 16-1700's). He even wrote a book and had like 1000 copies published, of which he has probably sold 10, given away 90 and has 900 sitting in the basement back home. As a result he has been able to relegate us all down to numbers, our Lowe number. Growing up I was known as 1-1-1-4-4-1-5-10-5-2-1-1, not Jon. Sarah is a 12th generation Lowe, the numbers represent the birth order of each generation. For example Sarah, Grandpa and I were are all first born, represented by three "1" at the end of her Lowe number.
Sarah Grace Lowe's heritage is Thomas (1), Thomas (1), Thomas (1), John (4), William (4), William (1), Nathaniel (5), William (10), Charles (5), Charles (2), Charles (1), Jonathan (1), Sarah Grace (1), making her "Lowe Number" 1-1-1-4-4-1-5-10-5-2-1-1-1
So this post is for you Pop. Anyone who would like more info on the Lowe genealogy let us know and we will pass along your contact info. And as the old saying goes a Lowe by any other number is still a Lowe. We love you Grampy!!
